چکیده
Increased anthropogenic influence on the environment has accentuated need to assess how climate and other environmental factors drive vital rates population dynamics of different types organisms. However, allow distinction between effects multiple correlated variables, capture rare extreme climatic conditions, studies extending over decades are often necessary. In this study, we used an individual-based dataset collected in three populations Pulsatilla vulgaris subsp. gotlandica during 34 years, explore variation precipitation temperature dynamics. Most observed conspicuous flowering among years was associated with differences previous summer autumn a higher incidence following summers high low temperatures. contrast, variables had no significant individual growth or survival. Although weather-driven only moderate absolute rate, simulated persistent changes average resulted considerable reductions sizes compared current conditions. Analyses carried out subsets data consisting 5 10 yielded results that strongly deviated from those based full dataset. Synthesis. The study illustrate importance long-term demographic monitoring identify key affecting driving long-lived

Population Dynamics and Life History of Euphorbia rosescens, a Perennial Herb Endemic to Florida Scrub
Euphorbia rosescens is a recently described plant that is narrowly endemic to the Lake Wales Ridge. Little is known of the ecology or life history of this diminutive, deeply rooted polygamodioecious perennial. We studied 13 subpopulations of this species from 2004-2012 from five habitats, sampling monthly during its growing season. Subpopulations were stable year-to-year with annual survivals >...

Dracocephalum kotschyi Boiss., belonging to the Lamiaceae family, is one of the endemic plants in Iran. It grows in regions of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Esfahan, Gorgan, Mazandaran, Hamedan, Kermanshah, Lorestan, Tehran, Fars and the northern heights of Semna...
متن کاملDemography of Elder Population in Iran Over the Period 1956 To 2006
Objectives: Ageing and its consequences at the onset of the third millennium is becoming one of the major population-related issues in all countries. Methods & Materials: At present, Iran is undergoing a population transformation from a young age structure to an old age one. Although at the time being the elderly population (60 years and over) is rather small proportion of total population, ...

the current study aimed at investigating the relationship between motivation and test preparation strategies (tpss) used by iranian pre-university students in their preparation period for the university entrance exam (uee). due to the importance of uee in iran, this study also attempted to show its impact on these two important variables. to this end, 100 pre-university students in an iranian p...
Population dynamics in central and edge populations of a narrowly endemic plant.
Species' range limits can be caused by environmental gradients, and in such cases, abundance is thought to be highest in the center of a species range and decline towards the edge (the abundant-center model). Although in theory decreased abundance is caused by a decline in performance at the edge, it has been shown that performance and abundance are not necessarily related. Few studies have com...
